Kris' Record

Our great city is not without faults; there are improvement opportunities like traffic, state mandates, and youth unemployment which actively detract us from our goals as a city. I will fight for Brentwood to maintain its exceptional sovereignty and mitigate outside influence. This city, first and foremost, should serve its residents. Below is a short list of areas that Kris has led the city to shape it's direction today.

Costco

Kris voted Yes as the community overwhelmingly supported this project and the proposal demonstrated a fantastic consistency with Brentwood design standards and fulfilling the goals of the PA-1 Plan. Traffic analysis concluded that due to the high percentage of Brentwood residents with memberships, the traffic actually became better overall since traveling to Antioch or Tracy was no longer necessary.

Bridle Gate Development

The proposal of 272 homes to be built across the hillsides South of the Sand Creek Extension was in gross conflict with Brentwood's development standards, density, and circulation. Kris voted No as the negative impact to the community out-weighed the potential positives.

Streets of Brentwood Building Expansion

Following the purchase by CenterCal Properties, Kris voted Yes to enable the revitalization of Brentwood's prime shopping center with new amenities.

Gas Station, Car Wash, and Drive-Thru Caps

As many residents comment on the lack of variety of business types in the city, Kris voted Yes to cap the number of these business types as to encourage business diversity.

Namaste Grocer/Restaurant

Kris voted Yes to expand the breadth of cultural food options and high-quality sit-down dining within Brentwood, celebrating the Indian community.

Eight Acres Restaurants

As a project aiming to revitalize the former Deer Ridge Golf Course, Kris voted Yes to enable meaningful, premium restaurant growth in Brentwood.

Brentwood Boulevard Drive-Thrus

Due to the high density of drive-thrus in the corridor (8 within a 1/2 mile region), Kris voted No on both the Wendy's and the Popeye's Drive-Thru applications. Kris is committed to the rejuvenation of this area into a more sustainably walkable and community oriented promise made in the Brentwood Boulevard Specific Plan.

Vineyard Academy Traffic Mitigations

Kris voted Yes to enable more effective circulation along Grant St. and to coordinate pick-up and drop-off timing offsets between Vineyard Academy and Marsh Creek Elementary.
